Reuse, Reduce, Recycle

A friend and I have been working on baskets.  I finally finished mine today.  I used a sheet I had , I reduced the space required to store the sheet, and I recycled some purse handles to make this tote.  I think it turned out really well, thanks to my friend Carol who helped me get it going.  The black trim is some black polyester I found in my stash.  The inside has a padded cardboard bottom with some material from Carol and more of my black material. So tickled, just had to share.

    Yes, it is fun to make something out of nothing. Can hardly wait to design and make the leather bags. We really are fortunate to live in the land of plenty.

    You girls are havin too much fun. I am on the hunt for 100% wool sweaters for mittens and wool dryer balls. Washed some silk matka and going to make a purse with wool applique. LaVern is deep in the garden magazines. Yesterday he planted lettuce and spinach!!

    Lettuce and spinach!!!!! How are you raising it? Do you have a greenhouse, hot house, etc? Have fun making the mittens and dryer balls.

    Country Life, glad you like it. It was a lot of fun to make. My friend made me the bones of the next one which will be round.
