Mountain Lion on the prowl

My hubby and brother-in-law have been seeing a mountian lion around BIL's farm.  It creeps me out.  I walk with the dogs and am wondering how safe I am. I might have to start walking in town and forget the country roads for a while.  We are just getting ready to have baby calves.  I hope the lion doesn't think he is invited to have dinner.  There have been sighting before and some neighbors have lost calves.  I just hope the cat moves on.

  1. And they say no mountain lions in Kansas! Hah! One was confirmed, I believe, last year over by Norcatur by the Fish/Game.

  2. There been have sighting for years in our neighborhood. Wish the Fish and Game would just admit they relocate them here.

  3. We saw one out here at rock hill, when we first moved here. But the Fish and Game says we don't have them either. Carol

  4. That would definitely creep me out as well. I think that's one critter we don't have to worry about here, it's a bit too populated. I hear they've got a tremendous range. I hope yours leaves for good.

  5. Leigh, Thanks for stopping by. Yes, they do have a huge area they travel and hunt in. Rumor has it the mountain lions here have micro chips and the Fish and Game track the location of the animals.
